Debutante director Sumathy Ram's Tamil film Viswathulasi will release on Friday, October 15, but she is not nervous or overtly excited.

"The film is the realisation of my dream. I am happy others will see my dream on screen," she says with a smile.

The film has generated a lot of curiosity because of the people associated with it. The three major characters in the film are enacted by Mammootty, Nandita Das and Manoj K Jayan.

M S Viswanathan and Ilayaraja have scored the music.

Sumathy Ram tells Contributing Special Correspondent Shobha Warrier about her journey from Houston to Chennai to make Viswathulasi.
