This is where critics differ from audiences. Lakshya was not a bad film, by any standard, except that it came from Farhan Akhtar.

Farhan, setting himself an impossibly high bar after Dil Chahta Hai, came crashing down with this big-budget film, with poorly etched characters and a simplistic concept. Not to mention the lack of detailing.

Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta were the star attractions, and they did not disappoint their bevy of loyal fans.

And then there was the Main aisa kyon hoon dance, which catapulted the film into some great visibility.
