Kareena, as she coyly but unashamedly confessed to on Karan Johar's deliciously infamous Coffee With Karan chat show, is now Bollywood's highest paid actress! (Well, she didn't actually yell that out, but did admit her paycheck is greater than Rani Mukerji's, which essentially says it all!)

The glamorous Kapoor girl did rather well this year, with an eclectic selection of directors -- Mani Ratnam's Yuva; Govind Nihalani's Dev, where her singing a song was the highlight of a tiresome film; Ken Ghosh's Fida, with a bad-girl act; Priyadarshan's Hulchul; Abbas-Mastan's Aitraaz; and finally, Sudhir Mishra's Chameli, where she got critical applause for a powerful performance.
