4. Aishwarya Rai
This year, our most-hyped actress went international. Her Cannes connection has become a thing of regularity, and 2004 saw her first English film, as well as a Madame Tussaud's waxwork. Not bad at all.
Ash had a year of halves: she looked incredible in Bride & Prejudice, but couldn't act; looked scarily depressing in Raincoat, and performed extremely well; her Khakee did fairly well at the box-office; and her Kyon! Ho Gaya Na..., with boyfriend Vivek Oberoi, sank without a trace.
Don't Miss!
