Though the film is bilingual, the two versions will not be exactly similar. For example, while Om Puri plays Poornapragnya Rao in the Hindi version, Nasser plays the same role in the Tamil version. Just the way they did in Chachi 420 and its Tamil original, Avvai Shanmugi.

Says Saurabh Shukla, who has written the dialogues for the Hindi version, "This is a fast-paced, roller-coaster movie. That is how it got the name Mumbai Xpress. Kamal Haasan made the process of writing the dialogues very easy for me, since he had already prepared the script in Tamil. It was a great experience working with him."

Saurabh is also acting in the film. "I play a rich builder who buys slums and builds huge buildings in those places. One day, my son gets kidnapped and that is where the story begins."

Adds Kamal, "I had worked with Saurabh in Hey! Ram. He is too good. I altered some dialogues in the Tamil version of Mumbai Xpress after seeing Saurabh's Hindi version. They were so good!"

Mumbai Xpress will be shot in 60 days and is expected to hit theatres in April.
