So what if audiences ignored his first film, Oops!.

Deepak Tijori will not be khamosh!

His second movie, Khamosh, stars Shilpa Shetty, Juhi Chawla, Kelly Dorji and Shawar Ali.

"Khamosh is a character driven film. There is no hero or heroine," Deepak says about his thriller, which is shot entirely in Mumbai. "More than a whodunit, the film is more of a whydunit."

He is racing to complete Khamosh, so that he can release it in December. He has only five days of shooting left with Juhi.

"Juhi was not part of the original cast, but I was looking for an actor to play her character," Tijori adds. "I happened to come across [Nagesh Kukunoor's] Teen Deewarein, where Juhi was looking very different. She plays a serious character in my film. It has a flavour of her role in Teen Deewarein."

On the other hand, Shilpa's character will be very glamorous. "Khamosh is a rebirth for Shilpa Shetty. No one has tapped her talent. Khamosh will see a new Shilpa. She has more potential than what has been seen. She does comedy and portrays fear easily. She is glamorous in the film. It's not like [her] Phir Milenge [look]."

The film will have only one song, composed by Jatin-Lalit. It will be an item number performed by Shilpa.
