Parveen Babi

Parveen Babi, one of the trendiest of her generation, danced to Bappi Lahiri's disco beats in two of his best compositions, Jawan janeman and Raat baaki in Namak Halal.

Naturally, the voice that backed her pulsating dances was Asha Bhosle. An interesting single from The Burning Train had Hema Malini and Parveen Babi performing two different types of dance on the same song, with Parveen doing a Western number on Meri nazar hai tujhpe.

Another typical 1970s party number was the title song of Shaan where Parveen swings to Asha's rendition of Pyaar karne waale.
