Mother (1999)

This film featured Rekha as the mother of a teenage girl. It also had actors like Shammi Kapoor, Jeetendra and Rakesh Roshan, but bombed at the box office. It revolved around the three men who had a one-night stand with Rekha in their younger days. One of them fathers Rekha's daughter.

Rekha ruled the roost for three decades, proving to be tough competition for Hema Malini, Parveen Babi and Zeenat Aman in 1970s, Jaya Prada and Sridevi in 1980s, Madhuri Dixit and Meenakshi Seshadri in the 1990s.

The media affectionately refers to Rekha as Madame X after the infamous film she acted in, which never hit the marquee.
