Muqaddar Ka Sikander (1978)

Rekha had a short role in this film. But her performance left an impact that was deeper than that of the film's heroine Raakhee.

Sikander (Bachchan) loves Kamna (Raakhee), who dislikes him for certain reasons. He meets courtesan Zohra Bai (Rekha), who falls in love with him.

Meanwhile, Vishal (Vinod Khanna) saves Sikander's life. Unaware of Sikander's love for Kamna, Vishal falls in love with her. Later, Sikander finds the two together and feels betrayed.

Rekha's most successful onscreen partnership has been with Amitabh Bachchan. Take Do Anjaane, Suhaag, Muqqadar Ka Sikander, Mr Natwarlal, Khoon Pasina, Ram Balram and Silsila.
