Aawara Pagal Deewana [The Whole Nine Yards]

Producer Feroz Nadiadwala and director Vikram Bhatt did not want to leave any stone unturned to make their expensive multi-starrer a box-office winner. So they copiously reproduced the stylish technique of Matrix totally out of context, in the predictable fight sequences that dot every other Hindi film.

Then they lifted the plot of the Bruce Willis-Matthew Perry starrer The Whole Nine Yards about a hit man with a price on his head who moves into a quiet neighbourhood and the timid dentist next door who decides to report his whereabouts to the mob boss.

A dash of six songs too many (all of no relevance to the story) completed this noisy concoction. While Aawara Pagal Deewana didn't send the cash registers ringing in ecstasy, it did pick up by word-of-mouth publicity and eventually managed a decent run at the box-office.
