Sepia
A new set of film-makers arrives in the Eighties. They look at film-making like any other business and their light and simple entertainment sells well. Though Subhash Ghai has a headstart, his showmanship lacks social concerns and daring. But he has a flair for music and brings to his films a fine visual sense.

Uncut
Ghai graduates as an actor from Pune's Film and Television Institute of India. He fails to make it as an actor. But he becomes a hugely successful film-maker and, like Hitchcock, does a cameo in most of his films.
