Here comes Maruti Ritz, the global car!

Maruti Suzuki will roll out the Ritz within the next few days and it will be available in your nearby showrooms by mid-May.

Although Maruti has not yet commented on the price tag that Ritz will carry, we expect it to be priced at around Rs 5 lakh (Rs 500,000). With this pricing, Ritz may fall into the territory of Swift.

However, Maruti is known for selling many cars in the same segment without much cannibalisation, and the company is likely to do the same thing again.

The Ritz might be positioned as a family hatchback, while the Swift will continue to cater to the aspirations of the single male.
