They make music on PCs sound better

April 25, 2008
Working with the AudioHub is near effortless. All you need to do is connect the USB connector to the available port in notebook, connect the power adapter and power up the speakers.

No drivers required, and the installation is a breeze. It's also sleek to have three additional USB ports on the speaker to connect additional devices. The subwoofer adds thump to any audio -- something you won't get from standard laptop speakers.

But you cannot control the level of bass on the speakers, so certain types of music might require some fiddling in your favourite music player to get the level of bass you want.

Overall the audio quality is a huge improvement over the built-in speaker systems found in PCs or notebooks. It's not ideal for travelling since you need an electrical outlet to power the system, but the one-piece design does make the AudioHub semi-portable.
