The Indian tiger is roaring. Not only is the economy growing faster than that of most other nations, even salaries in India are on the rise. And not just for 'permanent' staff but also for 'temps.'
Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi pay the best salaries in temping, with Bangalore paying the most in IT and HR, Mumbai in engineering and Delhi in sales, says the Annual Temp Salary Primer 2008 released by TeamLease Services, India's largest staffing solutions and temporary staffing company.
The study conducted by TeamLease also says that the best wage hikes are offered by Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai.
Communications, IT and ITeS (information technology-enabled services) lead all other industries, both in hiring and rewarding in 83 per cent of all cities and domains.
The report is a comprehensive study on salary trends and data for temporary staff working across more than 200 profiles and ten industry domains in 12 major cities in India.
