A miniature model of the entire campus rests in the entrance to the main building of the campus. While SAP is understandably proud of its new campus, Clas Neumann, Joint Managing Director for SAP India, took that pride a little further when he compared the campus to the Taj Mahal!

"There are some similarities between the two -- not in design, but in terms of the standards they set at the time of the construction," said Neumman.

He also referred to Karnataka's strong architectural heritage and talked about Belur, Halebid and Hampi, which are known for their monuments.

"Every building tries to express something. With the Hampi, the Vijayanagar empire tried to express its power. With this campus, we have tried to show that SAP has arrived in India," said Neumann.
