The inaugural function of the SAP campus was a fun-filled affair. Employees dressed in blue and white, the SAP colours, waved pom-poms and cheered for the company.
SAP has 750 employees in India currently and plans to double the figure to 1500 by the end of next year.
Clas Neumann, Joint Managing Director of SAP India, says that unlike many companies who came to India looking to cut costs, SAP came because it found a large pool of technically talented people.
Neumann emphasised that he would like SAP employees to have a balance between work and life.
"SAP stands for open work culture and innovation. We want our employees to have a life beyond work and we are glad that many of them have found that balance," he said in his speech at the inauguration.
For the inaugural function, SAP employees decorated the inside of the main building with flowers, painted many of the walls and hung inspirational posters of the company through the campus.
In turn, to pamper its employees, SAP has also built a small spa on campus!
