GET(Z) THE NEW SANTRO: Hyundai launched the new Santro Xing in 2003. The company has plans to launch another compact car Getz and a premium mid-size model Elantra in 2004.

Hyundai has recently achieved a major landmark by rolling out its 500,000th vehicle from its manufacturing facility near Chennai. The company aims to cross the million-unit mark in passenger car sales by 2006.

It also has plans to spruce up its production capacity to 250,000 units by 2004.

The company, which has successfully exported Santro Xing to the European markets, plans to sell its vehicles in the North American markets by the end of next year.

Hyundai added some new features to Santro Xing that they felt were missing earlier.
