Plan your itinerary

Day 1: December 5, 2007

10 am to 2 pm: Registration of Marwari horses (Participants in the fair) for various competitions at Mela Ground.
3 pm to 3.30 pm: Traditional puja and a tribute to Chetak, the loyal mount by the horses of City Palace, Udaipur at Chetak Tomb.
3.30 pm to 5.30 pm: Procession of Marwari horses from Chetak Tomb to the fairground via Haldighati and Rakt Talai (Khamnore).
5.30 pm: Inauguration of the fair followed by cultural programme by traditional martial art groups. (WZCC, Udaipur)

Day 2: December 6, 2007

10 am to 2 pm: Competition of horses
~ Best Marwari stallion, mare, colt and filly
~ Best dressed horse and best dancing horse
~ Balloon bursting race, endurance race, article lifting
~ Best woman rider and Reval Chal
~ Best of the show
~ Closing ceremony: prize distribution and cultural programme.
