In the land of Lord Buddha

We checked into Bihar Tourism's hotel Tathagata Vihar, quickly had our breakfast and left for the Shanti Stupa on the Griddhakuta hill by tonga, an inseparable part of Rajgir.

The pagoda at a height of 400 metres on the hill is surrounded by greenery. The ropeway took us to Shanti Stupa. Built with white marble, it is a beautiful monument which houses a statue of Lord Buddha.

Airfare for Rs 599 and less!

The serene atmosphere of the pagoda spreads the message of peace in today's strife-torn world. An absolute silence prevailed there. At a little distance is the meditation hall, where we sat for sometime. The hills, meadows and lush green forests offer a wonderful sight from atop the hill.
