Rubber mules and slippers are very 'in' this season, for both men and women. At the Bata showroom, plastic and Hawaiian chappals and sandals are selling out almost as soon as they hit the shelves.
Hoever, you need not restrict yourself only to plastic slippers -- there are several other options you can avail of, as well. "For casual outings in the monsoons, we strongly recommend funky slippers and ballerina shoes to combat boring footwear. But if you're aiming for a slightly more sophisticated look, strappy sandals are perfect in rainy weather," says the Westside representative.
A word of caution, though -- slippers, sandals and flip-flops may all end up spraying drops of water onto the backs of your legs or pants when walking on a wet sidewalk or road. If you're one who prefers closed shoes, another interesting option is retro-styled canvas sneakers -- they're great for both sexes.
