Elephant country

Once the hunting lodge of the erstwhile Maharaja of Mysore, Kabini is pure elephant country as one can see numerous herds at a time.

Nagarahole National Park, which covers an area of 645 sq kms is located south-west from Mysore on the foothills of the Brahmagir Hill Range.

The resort is situated on the banks of river Kabini in the vicinity of Nagarhole and Bandipur wildlife reserves.

Together, Nagarhole and Bandipur spreads over 1500 sq kms of tropical forests and the two parks which are separated by the river.

Best time to visit is September-February, though one can witness one of the largest congregations of Asiatic elephants in the dry summer months till May.
