Every now and then we came across junctions from where paths took off in different directions.
Sometimes the locals would guide us. At other times we would take the path that looked like it had been used more often and which skirted the coffee plantations rather than one that went through it.
At around 2 pm we reached a waterfall. While waiting for the third group, I decided to join Ajay, Sathish and Prashanth who were on the other side of the waterfall. The trio already there did not warn us that the rocks were extremely slippery and that Ajay had just taken a spectacular gymnastic fall on the rocks.
Oblivious, I decided to go across with my camera. The next thing I knew I had landed on my bottom on the rocks. I was unhurt but I couldn't save the camera!
About half an hour later the third group (Ananth and co) arrived. We ate lunch -- Puliyogare (tamarind rice), brought by Vijay and rested for about half an hour.
