We also visited the Basilica of Bom Jesus in Old Goa, an old church that was built in 1605. It houses the sacred relics of St Francis Xavier, patron saint of Goa and has been declared as a World Heritage Monument.
The 18th century Sri Mangesh Temple is located in Mangeshi village, which is also the ancestral home of Lata Mangeshkar and her sisters.
I was surprised to see Lord Shiva sporting a moustache!
