Basant Lok Market, Vasant Vihar

Priya Cinema is one of Delhi's longest-standing English film theatres, and while it has been renovated (it is a PVR theatre now) the tradition remains gloriously single-screen.

Centred around the cinema, the market is ideal for fast food (check out the chicken and duck shawarma; also, Delhi's first McDonald's) and desserts.

Situated close to the sprawling Delhi Public School in RK Puram, this is where the youth often hang, spending their time in diners of all shapes and sizes before catching a movie. Or a drink.
