Delhi's shopping hotspots

Calling shopping fun is positively alarming, coming from a man.

So, while I won't go that far (except, obviously, when speaking of books), markets can be quite a trip -- if you know where you're headed.

For the Delhi-unitiated, here are seven markets with pretty clearly defined character. Since they are hugely popular, all you need to do is hop into an autorickshaw to be taken there.

M-Block Market, Greater Kailash-1

One of the iconic South Delhi marketplaces, 'M-block' is like an open-air mall. Junk jewellery hawkers crowd the pavements, and stunning women walk around, overly made-up at all times. Inexplicably, people dress up to stroll around M-block, and the casual among us are likely to feel underdressed. The market is best for clothing stores, especially branded ones.
