Amitabh Bachchan

As I said earlier, this was done in five minutes! He gives you a lot of trust, whether it's styling his suit or anything. You just have to tell him the mood of the picture, and he'll do all that he can to look it.

This shot was done from his suite in a Paris hotel. The balcony overlooked the Eiffel Tower. If you shoot at the Eiffel Tower, you only get a low angle, not a good angle like this.

The only delay in the shoot was the International Herald Tribune. I wanted that specific newspaper and the hotel took a while to get it. I wanted this newspaper because it's very classic, very English.

I've shot Amitabh in the middle of Leicester Square, the London museum, Cannes and Monte Carlo. He never gives the vibe like he will get mobbed. He walks the streets, goes to the movies... He loves the freedom that he gets abroad. Crowds there will not mob him the way they would in India.

We also go partying together. When you go abroad, it's very important to be comfortable with a person, if you have to be with him/her the whole time.

I know Abhishek very well too. I'm always invited to their parties. Mrs Bachchan attended my wedding as well. Abhishek and Amitabh are very similar. The kind of conversations we have is similar. You can talk to them about anything in the world -- travel, food, photography, films, music, clothes, shopping, anything. They are so well read. Film people tend to talk about their films only. But not the Bachchans!

Unfortunately, he doesn't get much time for photo sessions.
