AB vs AB

Abhishek Bachchan After the simultaneous releases of Lagaan and Gadar - Ek Prem Katha, here's a few more coincidences, to add to the list.

Come July 6 will see the music of Venus' Hum Ho Gaye Aap Ke and T-Series' Tum Bin being released on the same day.

Two Abhishek Bachchan starrers are also expected meet head on, on July 13 -- Shararat and Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai. Word has it that one of them will be postponed by a week or two.

Nevertheless, July 13 will still witness papa Amitabh in Aks take on son Abhishek, at the BO.

Fourth time lucky?

Aamir Khan Aamir Khan's Dil Chahta Hai and Sunny Deol's Indian are slated to release on the same day in August.

That's stretching coincidence to the limits, as this will be the fourth time that the films of these two will hit the marquee simultaneously.

And after the grand opening collections of both Lagaan and Gadar - Ek Prem Katha, can you imagine what a film starring Sunny and Aamir would do for the industry?

Mahima's dress sense troubles Kundan Shah

Mahima Kundan Shah is tearing his hair out in despair. And the reason of this grief is Mahima Choudhary who wades through all the dress designers in the industry.

First she booted out Neeta Lulla. Ritu too walked out on her. Bhanu Athaiya has given up on her as she insists on wearing her garish clothes.

Another Indo-Pak period film in the pipeline

Gadar - Ek Prem Katha The success of Gadar - Ek Prem Katha has inspired filmmakers to attempt period films, particularly those dealing with Indo-Pak issues.

Saawan Kumar had already finalised the script of his new film, which he had titled Aur Kitne Pakistan. However it was believed that he had dropped the project and was instead planning to start two films with brand new faces.

Saawan denied these rumours and added that he was going ahead with the project as planned. In fact, he's already recorded the songs for the film.

Seema Biswas as Chhota Rajan's mum

Seema Biswas Ramgopal Varma has signed on Seema Biswas to play Chhota Rajan's mother in his forthcoming film, Company.

Biswas is estatic with the script and Varma has given her full freedom to work it out as she pleases. That must speak volumes about the director's confidence in the actress.

Lagaan in Telugu

Lagaan Aamir Khan is all set to dub Lagaan in Telugu for the Andhra Pradesh audiences. This probably explains why the film wasn't released in this territory last week.

Jhamu Sughand, financier of the film, said that they were toying with the idea of dubbing the film, but nothing had been finalised yet.

Both the Hindi and dubbed Telugu versions will be released together, if all goes well.
