IPL Updates: SRH cruise to victory, knock LSG out

O'Rourke returns to bowl, and Nitish Reddy slams a boundary to level the scores. Just one needed-Reddy delivers again, smashing the winning runs with 10 balls to spare! 

Akash Deep returns for the 17th over. Klaasen taps one for a single, and Mendis follows with a drive down the ground for another. The batters continue to rotate strike well, picking up singles and twos. 8 runs come off the over, and after 17 overs, SRH are 187 for 3, needing 19 from 18 balls. 

Shardul Thakur continues. Klaasen swings and misses, then picks up a single next ball. Mendis skies one straight up, and it just evades Pant behind the stumps - he chases it down to save the boundary. Mendis jabs the next one towards cover for another single. Just 6 runs come off the over.

Shardul Thakur enters the attack for the first time tonight. Klaasen greets him with a boundary to start things off. The batters then rotate strike, picking up a single each. Klaasen continues to accelerate, finding another boundary and follows it up with a quick single. The over ends with a couple of runs - Kishan was content with one, but Klaasen urged him back for the second. 13 runs come off it - after 11 overs, SRH are 133 for 2, needing 73 from 54 balls.

Aiden Markram is brought into the attack from around the wicket. Kishan defends the first ball straight back, but then finds the gap for a boundary. A couple of well-placed singles follow as the batters rotate strike. Kishan finishes the over with a towering six, adding momentum to the innings. 14 runs come off it - after 9 overs, SRH are 117 for 2. 

Rathi returns after the break and pulls out of his delivery stride first up. Kishan defends cautiously before nudging one to long-off for a single. Then comes the big breakthrough - Rathi strikes! 

Bishnoi comes into the attack from over the wicket and starts with a wide. Kishan pushes the next one towards extra cover but can't get it past the infield. He finally rotates strike with a single to deep point. Then, Abhishek Sharma takes over the stage - he slams a stunning hat-trick of sixes, reaching a blazing fifty off just 18 balls. Pooran almost had a chance near the ropes but the ball bursts through his hands for another six. Abhishek isn't done - he launches a fourth six to end the over in sensational fashion. Massive momentum shift as 26 runs come off it. 

Rathi comes into the attack and bowls over the wicket to Kishan, who starts with a firm push towards cover but can't find the gap. He makes up for it with a boundary off the next delivery, timing it sweetly. Rathi then slips in a googly that beats Kishan completely. 

Akash Deep continued from the other end, and Abhishek Sharma greeted him with a boundary off the first ball. A delivery straying down leg was called wide, and Abhishek capitalised further by launching a beautiful six over midwicket. He followed that with a single to rotate the strike. Ishan Kishan, looking to settle in, defended one before slamming a crisp boundary of his own. A swing and a miss followed, prompting Rishabh Pant to take a player review for a caught behind appeal. It was a length ball angling down leg, but UltraEdge showed no bat or glove - just another wide. The over ended with a dot ball. A productive one for SRH - 17 runs off it. 

With regular opener Travis Head out, SRH sent out a new pairing - Abhishek Sharma and impact sub Atharva Taide - to open the chase. Akashdeep took the new ball for LSG. Taide began cautiously, playing his first delivery towards midwicket for no run, before a wide and a hard-length ball followed. He soon found his rhythm, slamming a boundary and rotating the strike with a single. Abhishek got off the mark with a single as well, while LSG chose not to review a close lbw call. The over yielded 9 runs.

Harshal returns for the penultimate over. Abdul Samad starts with a single to long-off. Pooran then watches two deliveries sail wide down the leg side - pressure telling on the bowler. Pooran capitalises with a fierce four, but wait - the height is checked. It's called a no-ball, and SRH review it. The third umpire upholds the on-field call, and the free-hit results in just a single. Pooran swings and misses the next one. Harshal thinks there's a nick, convinces Cummins to review - but UltraEdge confirms no contact. Samad calmly pushes the next down the ground for a single. Then, Pooran latches onto a wide yorker and drills it through the covers for another four. A quick single rounds off the over - 15 runs from it. After 19 overs, LSG are 185 for 4.

Cummins comes on to finish his spell, and SRH bring in Atharva Taide as a substitute for Zeeshan Ansari. Badoni and Pooran start the over with a single each. Pooran then shifts gears, lofting one just short of the rope for a powerful boundary. A single closes out the over - just 8 runs from it. After 17 overs, LSG are 168 for 3. 

Change of ends for Malinga. Pooran starts with a drive through point for a single. A slower full toss nearly deceives Markram, but he can't score off it. He recovers with a solid shot to deep midwicket for one. Pooran then slams a boundary, finding the gap with ease. The over wraps up with two more singles - 8 runs from it. After 15 overs, LSG are 146 for 2. 

Pooran joins the crease as Nitish Kumar Reddy bowls his first over of the season. He starts with a length ball on middle, which Markram jabs towards long on for a single, bringing up his fifty off 28 balls-his fifth this season. Pooran gets off the mark with a boundary, then picks up a couple more runs. He drives the next ball towards long on for a single. Markram jabs towards cover but can't find the gap. The over ends with a dot ball. 

Malinga returns for his second over, and Pant misses a full delivery but manages a single to cover. Markram is beaten on the next ball, then takes a single to long on. Pant finds the boundary next, but moments later Malinga pulls off a stunning catch to dismiss him. 

Dubey returns to the attack, and Markram welcomes him with a massive six, followed by a quick single.

Zeeshan Ansari continues, with Marsh opening the over by jabbing a single to extra cover. Markram gets a reprieve when Aniket Verma at deep extra cover dives forward, manages to get both hands on the ball but can't hold on. The batsmen pick up two more singles, and after a wide down the leg side, Marsh slams a boundary before taking a single to finish the over. 

Zeeshan Ansari is into the attack and does well to keep things relatively quiet early in the over, with both batters rotating strike through singles. But Markram breaks the shackles, launching a massive six over long-on. The over ends with a couple more runs as LSG continue to cruise. 12 runs come from it - after 7 overs, they're 81 for no loss. 

Harshal Patel comes into the attack from over the wicket and starts with a wide. Marsh wastes no time, launching a massive six off the next delivery. He's beaten on the following ball but picks up a single thanks to a misfield. Markram cashes in on a short and wide one, smashing it for four. A dot ball ends the over. 

Cummins continues his spell. Markram starts with two solid defensive shots before finding the middle of the bat to drive one straight down the ground for a beautifully timed four. He follows that with a single to point, rotating the strike. Marsh picks up a couple with a neat placement, and then adds two more to finish the over. 

LSG openers - Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram- walk out with Pat Cummins taking the new ball. It's an all-Aussie battle to start, as Cummins comes over the wicket with a slip in place.

Rishabh Pant will be desperate to hit the reset button as Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) face a must-win clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Monday in Lucknow, aiming to keep their slim IPL 2025 play-off hopes alive.
