Pant gets an edge off Henry but the ball bounces before going to the fielder at slip. The wicketkeeper has come up to the stumps to stop Pant from using his feet to the pacer.

Pant whips the next ball on the leg side for a single and Gill flicks the third ball as the fielder at midwicket half stops it, to concede just two runs.

Gill plays another cracking drive through the covers for just a single as Rachin Ravindra saves the boundary with a diving stop to his left at mid-off, and Pant keeps strike with one from the last ball.

Pant won't let the bowlers dominate especially spinner Ajaz. He gets a big stride across and plays the lap sweep off the spinner fine on the leg side for a four -- his fourth boundary of the morning to race to 19 from 15 balls.

Pant clips the third ball for a single and Gill getting well forward to defend the flighted deliveries from Ajaz.

Gill gets a single off the last ball courtesy of an overthrow as Pant has to rush to the striker's end to complete the run.

Henry continues as Gill steers the first ball behind point for a couple of runs. He pulls the next ball, using his wrist to keep the ball along the ground for a single to deep midwicket.

Pant reaches out to a wide half-volley driving it gently through the covers for a single.

Good bouncer from Henry as Gill is hurried into the pull shot but manages to negotiate it quite nicely for one to deep square leg.

India have scored 33 runs in six overs bowled so far on Day 2.
