Former England captain Tony Greig was sacked in the seventies for signing up players to Kerry Packer's commercial "circus".
The Australian media tycoon had announced he had recruited 35 of the world's best cricketers to play in a series of internationals in Australia in 1977 and had hired Greig to sign on more players and lead the team.
