England captain Michael Vaughan presents Chris Tremlett his first Test cap.
Seamer Matthew Hoggard lost his battle to be fit after a back injury and his absence meant the hosts gave a Test debut to Tremlett.
The Hampshire bowler lined up in a three-man seam attack alongside Ryan Sidebottom and James Anderson.
Stuart Broad was omitted.
