Lord's: The home of cricket

July 18, 2007

Dilip Vengsarkar has been India's most successful batsmen at this venue, having scored three centuries in three Tests. Incidentally, the last Indian batsman to score a hundred at this ground was Ajit Agarkar, in 2002.

India's current bowling coach Venkatesh Prasad is the last bowler to make it to the Honours Board for bowlers, when he claimed 5 for 76 in 1996.

Sachin Tendulkar, V V S Laxman, Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble are perhaps playing on the sacred turf for the last time. Surely they must be hoping for a good showing to get their names etched on the Honours Board.
