Chasing a daunting target of 347, New Zealand got off to a disastrous start, losing their openers cheaply. Paceman Shaun Tait claimed the opening pair of Stephen Fleming (9) and Lou Vincent (11).
Nathan Bracken and Mitchell Johnson also joined in the fun as the hosts were reduced to 41 for four inside ten overs.
