Hail the King

On April 12, Brian Lara became the first batsman to score 400 in Test cricket.

Lara went past Matthew Hayden's record 380 runs against Zimbabwe last year to recreate history.

Almost exactly 10 years ago he went past the then-world mark of 365 not out held by Gary Sobers, hitting 375 not out at the same venue -- the St John's Recreation Ground, Antigua -- and against the same opponents, England.

Lara's epic innings lasted under eight hours, and included 43 fours and four sixes.

His effort saved the fourth Test for the West Indies who lost the series 3-0.
