Sania Mirza and Elena Vesnina yet again ended runners-up to nemesis Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond, losing the WTA Indian Wells Premier event's summit clash in straight sets.
The second seeded Indo-Russian team lost 2-6, 3-6 to the top seeded American pair in just under 65 minutes.
In February, Sania and Elena had lost the Dubai final to the same pair.
Sania has reached three finals this season so far, winning the Pattaya Open with Australian Anastasia Rodionova, while finishing runners-up at Dubai and Indian Wells.
