Sania-Vesnina proved too good, breaking the Argentines five times in the match.

Besides winning 19 out of 25 points, they also converted five of nine break-points they got.

They meet the third seeded Czech combo of Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka, who defeated the fifth seeded Italian pair of Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci in the quarter-finals.
