Dinesh Kumar wins silver in boxing

Dinesh Kumar had to settle for a silver in the men's boxing event in the Asian Games in Guangzhou on Thursday.

Uzbekistan's Elshod Rasulov beat the 22-year-old Indian 10-4 in the in the 81kg category.

Dinesh had earlier dispatched Nepal's Deepak Maharjan 7-1 to book his berth in the final.

Vikas Krishnan had earlier in the day won India's first gold in the 60kg category.

On Wednesday, Suranjoy Singh and Paramjeet Samota had to settle for the bronze.
