Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has supported anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare’s 'jantantra rally' that began in Patna on Wednesday. Kumar also noted that such rallies were needed to awaken the people of the country.
“I support Anna Hazare's rally; such a rally is the need of the hour,” the chief minister told mediapersons in Patna.
Nitish Kumar also praised Anna Hazare for fighting against corruption and commended his vow to awaken the people across the country.
“It is a positive sign for democracy that people like Anna has become an icon among people,” he added.
Kumar also said that the veteran Gandhian has already made it clear that he was fighting to fulfill the dreams of Mahatma Gandhi and Jay Prakash Narayan.
Anna Hazare arrived in Patna on Tuesday for his rally.
