Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare on Tuesday announced in Patna that he will continue to fight for a change in the system in the country till he is alive.

“I will continue to fight for change of the system in the country till I am alive,” Hazare told mediapersons in Patna ahead of his Janatantra Rally in the city on Wednesday.

Hazare said that he has decided to visit four states in February and other states from March to awaken and unite people for a change of the system.

"After the rally in Patna, I will visit four states next month and other states from March with a mission to awaken people,”  Hazare said.

He noted that out of 120 crore people in India, he has decided to awaken and unite at least 6 crore for change in the system.

"If we manage to awaken and unite 6 of 120 crore people, the government cannot ignore us,” he said.

In reaction to United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s letter to him in which she promised that the Lokpal bill will be passed in the coming session of the Parliament, Hazare said that there was nothing new in the letter.

“I have been assured through letters for the last two years that Lokpal bill will be passed soon, but it is yet to pass,” he said.

Hazare also accused the government of cheating him over the issue. “The government’s intention is not to end the corruption,” he said.
