Based on specific intelligence inputs, a joint operation was launched by the troops of Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operation Group of police in Nachlana area of Ramban district on Tuesday night, defence spokesman said in Jammu on Wednesday.
During the operation, a militant hideout was discovered, and one AK-56 rifle, three AK magazines, 329 rounds of AK ammunition, 137 rounds of pika ammunition, five Chinese grenades, 7.5 kg of RDX explosives, one radio set, two radio set antenna, one IED circuit and one medical kit were recovered, he said.
The operation by joint team of Rashtriya Rifles and police has dealt another blow to the nefarious design of militants, he added.
