The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday expressed hope that the crisis caused by Gopinath Munde airing his grievances against the party would blow over after Saturday's talks between him and the central leadership.
"Munde is a senior leader of the party. He is the deputy leader of the BJP in the Lok Sabha. He is coming over to Delhi tomorrow to meet the central leadership. Whatever issues are there will be sorted out in the meeting," BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman said.
The BJP central leadership has invited Munde to the capital to discuss the grievances he has been airing through the media for the past few days.
He is disgruntled over his candidate Yogesh Gogawale not being made Pune BJP chief among other issues. "He is a respected leader of Maharshtra," Sitharaman said while expressing hope that the issue would be sorted out.
Munde is likely to meet senior BJP leader LK Advani, party president Nitin Gadkari and Venkaiah Naidu, who is party incharge in Maharashtra among other senior leaders at tomorrow's meeting.
