Ignoring Bihar government's warning, nearly 4000 government doctors, including contractual, will observe strike on January 15-16.
Doctors part of the Bihar tate Health Services Association will strike work.
"We have made up our mind to go on two day strike unless our demands are met or we get an assurance in this regard from chief minister Nitish Kumar," BSHSA general secretary Ajay Kumar said.
Hundreds of doctors took to the streets in Patna on Sunday ahead of their strike.
However, Bihar health minister Ashwani Kumar Choubey has warned the doctors that the government will not remain a mute spectator and take stern action if people's interest suffers due to the agitation.
