Director Bheemineni Srinivas, the master of remakes, has remade the Tamil film Sundarapandian.

He was excited after seeing it and decided to produce the remake -- titled Speedunnodu -- after going through a lot of problems. He felt he should take the risk himself.

Remakes, he says, have become part and parcel of his life.

"I feel it is easy to register the story with the audience. I have become confident of doing remakes as they have become a weakness," he says.

Bheemineni has cast Srinivas in Speedunnodu, after getting impressed with his performance.

"I felt a young hero with no image will suit the character," he explains.

Srinivas esaays the role played by Sashi Kumar in the Tamil original. Madhu Nandan plays the friend.

Tamannaah will be shaking a leg with Srinivas in a special dance number in the film.

"The song is an important factor in the film and I felt it would be a good move if there is a big star like Tamannaah to do it," says Bheemineni.

DJ Vasanth has scored the music.

SR Prabhakaran has written the story, Vijay Ulaganath has handled the cinematography and Gowtham Raju has edited the film.

The film releases on February 5.
