The 11th season of Bigg Boss is all about loving your neighbour, and what better place to launch it than a residential complex in Andheri, a western Mumbai suburb that's the haunt of television folk!
Host Salman Khan and his team have chosen Tarapore Gardens as the venue to announce the next season of their much-awaited show; as you might have guessed, the residents were only too pleased.
Salman makes his grand entry on the balcony of one of the flats, and dances to Oonchi hai building, -- from his hit film, Judwaa -- as he reaches the stage.
The film, remade by the original director, David Dhawan, stars Dhawan's son, Varun, in the double role that Salman essayed to hilarious effect 20 years ago.
Judwaa 2 releases this Friday.
Hit songs from his earlier films -- like Do you wanna partner, Dhinka chika and Tan tana tan tan tan tara -- follow, and background dancers give the star company.
"I've just come from Abu Dhabi (where he is shooting for his next film, Tiger Zinda Hai, with Katrina Kaif), which has a temperature of 55 degrees, but it was not as hot," he tells the audience, as he flicks the sweat away from his glistening brow.
In keeping with the show's theme, Salman says he has fantastic 'padosis.'
"My padosis are my parents and they are the best!"
Salman chats with Jamie Lever, Johnny Lever's daughter. And, going by the smile on Sallubhai's face, she's just as funny as her father.
The elaborate set includes a balcony, which has a monitor that is screening promos of the show.
The set is protected by a temporary roof.
Another glimpse of the stage.
