11 places to vacation this Christmas!

December 01, 2015

Hindi movies are not only entertaining, they also give you amazing ideas. From fashion to dream destinations, we are treated to so much in these movies.

Take Tamasha, for instance.

The film does such a good job to Corsica, that it really makes us want to visit the place.

Make it the next travel destination!

Here's a quick look at movies shot at exotic locations, locations where you could plan your next holiday!

Corsica

We've seen glimpses of Corsica in the Matargashti song, as well as in Tamasha.

Director Imtiaz Ali claims Corsica -- a beautiful French island in the Mediterranean Sea -- has a very distinct culture: it's not entirely modern and yet not old-fashioned.

As Corsica is mountainous, it enjoys fine, sunny days even in the winters.

Iceland

Okay, so maybe Christmas isn't the best time to visit Iceland.

But visit it, you must!

The place compliments Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's chemistry in the Gerua song in Dilwale, and makes it look WOW.

Budapest

Sonakshi Sinha seems to be enjoying her time in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, where she shot Force 2.

If you love snow, here's the place to be this Christmas! The prices will be discounted too, if you visit in the next two-three months.

Shillong

Shraddha Kapoor in Shillong

Shraddha Kapoor shared some beautiful pictures of Shillong, where she has been shooting portions of Rock On!! 2.

A popular honeymoon destination, Shillong has a lot of greenery, parks and lakes, and a very pleasant climate!

Shimla

Another popular honeymoon destination, Shimla is among Imtiaz Ali's favourite destinations. We saw it in his Jab We Met, and then again in Tamasha.

The place has some exciting winter sports, like skiing and ice skating.

Poland

Shaandaar may have been a turn-off but the place where it was shot -- Poland -- was wow!

There are a bunch of must-see places like the Waves Castle, Slowinki sand dunes and the Bialowieza forest. Tourists can visit its mountain resorts.

Poland experiences heavy snowfall during the winter.

Spain

The locations of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara played a very important part in making the film successful. A road trip with a gang of friends seemed more realistic after this film.

Spain has some beautiful sights and festivals, and it's really well know for its night life.

Christmas in Spain looks like a treat as it gears up for the festival by mid-December and the celebrations go on till January.

Belgium

The song Chaar Kadam captured the beauty of Bruges, Belgium, beautifully, and made it look so romantic!

Winters may be a little disappointing for tourists because of the chill. But the cool hotel deals may make it worthwhile.

Kaza, Himachal Pradesh

Kaza was one of Alia Bhatt’s favourite destinations while shooting Highway, and it's quite obvious why.

It is one of the coldest places in India and people, who do not wish to go abroad, can enjoy the snow here!

Rann of Kutch, Gujarat

The song Saree Ke Fall Sa is shot in the picturesque Rann of Kutch in Gujarat. The white sands in the desert adds to the visual treat, as we watch Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha on screen.

Visit the Rann of Kutch and try out the local cuisine there, visit handicraft villages and stay in eco-resort homes.

Christmas is the best time to visit the place as you will get to see the Rann Of Kutch festival. There are fairs held near the beach, and offer activities like horse riding, camel safari and bird watching.

Jordan

Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan in Krrish 3

Shot in exotic Jordan, the song Dil Tu Bata was a treat for the audiences but the cast -- including Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut -- and crew had a tough time shooting because of desert sandstorms.

Be prepared but don't let that stop you though.
