Shah Rukh loves movies with a 'Dil!'
Just like Salman Khan loves being Prem in his movies, Shah Rukh Khan likes working in movies with a 'Dil'!
He has starred in seven films, and one television show, whose titles has the word 'Dil' in it.
As we get ready for Dilwale, releasing in December, we look at his Dil movies:
Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega
Box office collection: Rs 15 crore
The last time Shah Rukh featured in a 'Dil' film, it was 15 years back. And it was a cameo role.
Salman Khan-starrer Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega also featured Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta.
SRK's small role brightened the interval point of the Raj Kanwar directed affair and brought a twist in the tale.
Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani
Box office collection: Rs 11 crore
Shah Rukh's first production Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani was quite an ambitious film and quite ahead of its time.
Yet, it flopped at the box office.
Shah Rukh was quite disheartened by audience reception to the film.
Dil Se...
Box office collection: Rs 11 crore
Dil Se wasn't a quintessential romantic entertainer but SRK and director Mani Ratnam tried something unusual in the film.
A very well made film, with brilliant music, this dramatic affair was also ahead of its time and did not find favour with the audience.
Over last decade and a half, it has managed to earn some repeat value on the small screen.
Dil To Pagal Hai
Box office collection: Rs 35 crore
Now, this is what audience expected and this is exactly what Shah Rukh Khan delivered.
A Yash Chopra musical has to be special and the entire team of Dil To Pagal Hai made sure that it had all the ingredients for a romantic musical.
A love triangle starring SRK, Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor, the film was a massive blockbuster.
Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge
Box office collection: Rs 56 crore
No one associated with the film expected it to become the blockbuster that it did.
The film ran for over 1,000 weeks in a movie theatre.
Books have been written, documentaries have been made and several films have been inspired from Shah Rukh's Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.
Dil Aashna Hai
Box office collection: Rs 1 crore
Shah Rukh started his career with a Dil movie -- Dil Aashna Hai.
Directed by Hema Malini, the film was a major disappointment critically and commercially. This, despite the fact that it starred A-listers like Jeetendra, Mithun Chakraborty, Dimple Kapadia and Amrita Singh as well as Divya Bharti.
Only a few songs were popular.

Dil Dariya (TV Series)
Not many know that before Fauji, Shah Rukh had worked in Lekh Tandon's TV series Dil Dariya.
A few production hassles resulted in the show being pushed a little ahead of Fauji.
In Dil Dariya, Shah Rukh played a youngster caught in an emotional turbulence faced by Sikh and Hindu neighbouring families.
