We'd asked you, dear readers to share your love stories with us.
Tarun Purohit tells us how his aunt played a key role in connecting him and Monika.
In early 2009, I was busy building my career as an engineer.
My parents sent me a picture of Monika and told me about her.
It is interesting to know how my parents got to know about her.
In November 2008, my maternal aunt met her college friend after 25 long years at Monika's elder sister's wedding reception.
My aunt saw Monika and immediately told her friend (who happens to be Monika's maternal aunt) that she thinks Monika and I will be a perfect match.
My aunt liked her so much that she didn't stop at that.
She went to Monika and asked her upfront what kind of boy she would like to marry and if an engineer fits into her choice.
Obviously she was shy and felt awkward.
Gradually things moved forward and my aunt insisted my parents meet the girl.
It was May 1, 2009 when we met. I found her to be focussed and caring.
She had that wonderful mix of confidence and shyness.
Despite our brief conversation of 30 minutes, I felt a connection with her.
We'd met for the first time at around 10.30 am. At 3.30 am, we were shopping together for our engagement. We got engaged at 6.30 pm the same day.
Everything happened in such a hurry that it's hard to believe how things worked out in a matter of a few hours.
Maybe it was destiny.
We've been together for six years I am really happy. I think of the day we met as a special gift from God.
We've spent some meaningful time together and apart too, only to realise how much we are meant to be 'the one' for each other.
She completes me and I am nothing without her.
