September 18, 2017

Two talented Indian designers put India on the fashion map by showcasing their collections at the ongoing London Fashion Week 2017.

Luxury is in the details and Delhi-based Sidharth Sinha pulled all stops to send out that message through his collection.
This is not his first time at London Fashion Week. Last year he wowed all with his collection that boasted of luxurious exoticism.

While the designer let his clothes do the talking, it was the colourful eye make up that was the highlight of the show.

Models strode the runway in lovely pastel dresses.

The limited edition featured long summer jackets and shirt dresses, with bird detailing and hand embroidery.

Like last year, the emphasis this year too was on sustainable fashion.

The shoes with their stunning prints and motifs drew the attention of the audience.

Sustainability is the new sexy for Sidharth :)

The show was all about re-interpreting and re-contextualising British-Asian fashion designer Supriya Lele's Indian heritage.

The show was presented by Far East and the designer described her work as 'a personal dialogue between her Indian and British cultural identity'.

Models strode down the ramp in outfits inspired by Mumbai's brothels. There were several separates made of plastic, and models sported sweaty make up. Was that too inspired by the humidity in Mumbai?
