Rediff reader Mahesh M Kulkarni tells us how his first job and salary shaped his life.
I graduated in commerce in 1981 and completed my post graduation in Personnel Management (M.S.W.) in 1983 followed by a degree in law (LLB) in 1986.
I got my first job was in Laxmi Vishnu Textile Mills Solapur as a 'Trainee Officer.
My first salary was Rs 280 which I received in 1987.
After praying to God, I gave my first salary to my parents who inspired and supported me to complete my higher education.
I am currently working as a factory manager (unit head) in a reputed food product factory in Solapur, Maharashtra.
My monthly salary is Rs 1 lakh.
