Do you remember what your first job and salary was?

On July 11, 2019, a Twitter user named Swaty Malik talked about her first salary and asked people to share theirs.

'Rs 6,500/- in 2002 .. and yours? #FirstSalary,' Malik tweeted.

Soon, the thread went viral with people from across the country sharing details about their first job, salary and how they felt at the time.

'750₹ for 12 hours of hosting a booth activity at IT dot com for Mantra Online 2000,' actor Kubbra Sait joined in too.

Musician Ehsaan Noorani's first salary was Rs 300, while actor Sakshi Tanwar earned a stipend of Rs 900 in her first job.

'My first job was as a sales trainee at the Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi. I worked at (clothing and accessory store) Khazana and received a monthly stipend of Rs 900. With my first salary, I bought my mom a yellow and green cotton sari and also a few things for my dad, brother and sister,' the actor had revealed in an interview.
